Pilgrims arrived in Wells on Saturday afternoon 29 May 1926, having travelled from Glastonbury. They visited the Women’s Institute in Union Street and afterwards marched to the War Memorial in St. Cuthbert’s Church. Public speeches were made in support of peace.
